To solve this worksheet students should have a good understanding of reflection. If a point is reflecting over the x-axis then the reflection rule is (x,y)→(x,-y), and if a point is reflecting over the y-axis then the reflection rule is (x,y)→(-x,y). For example, if the coordinates of a point are (4,5) and it is reflecting over the y-axis then its image will be on the opposite side of the y-axis and equidistance from y-axis. Therefore, the coordinates of the image are (-4,5).
